Reforms offer great opportunities for the business community

Mr. İbrahim Burkay, President of the Board of Directors of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the 2016 Action Plan declared by the Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu offers opportunities for all segments of the society, mainly the business community. He added that the financial supports offered to the new entrepreneurs and SMEs will contribute to the potential development and the support given to the medium and high tech local manufacturing will accelerate the transition to the added-value manufacturing of our country.

Mr. Burkay highlighted that great public support packages are offered to the tradesmen, entrepreneurs and labour-intensive companies with a focus on the actions concerning the youth, new employees, SMEs and the unemployed people in the first 3 months and the reforms that will enable the transition in the real sector in the first 6 months are of importance.

Mr. Burkay said that the main headlines concerning the business community such as the minimum wage, severance pay, part-time employment, employment offices will be settled shortly. He added the communication and co-operation between the government and the business community should continue so that the regulations do not increase the costs of the sectors and the companies.

Mr. Burkay declared that they support every step that will foster the competitiveness of the SMEs to increase their export capacities and the entrepreneurship spirit of the youth as Turkey has a young population.
