Delegation of 45 business people in construction sector examined recent sectoral developments closely in Swissbau 2018 organized in Basel, Switzerland Within the scope of Global Fair Agency Project carried out by Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
BTSO members continue to meet with the leading trade fair organizations of the world through the Global Fair Agency Project which BTSO realized to support member companies to increase their foreign trade volumes. 45 company representatives in construction sector had chance to visit Swissbau fair organized in Basel, Switzerland within the scope of this project. Swissbau Fair, seen as one of the most important organization of the sector with its 1.200 participants, entertains appr. 100.000 professionals coming from the four corners of the earth in every year. The fair in which the premium sectoral products are exhibited, has been open to visit between the dates of 16-20 January.
“WE STRENGTHEN THE EXPORTER IDENTITIES OF OUR MEMBERS”
Mr. Cüneyt Şener; Vice President of the Board of Directors of BTSO, said that they strengthen the exporter identities of their members through Global Fair Agency Project. Stating that BTSO has provided its members to attend more than 130 fair and B2B organizations so far, Mr. Şener said “Almost 40 fairs are in our 2018 agenda. Swissbau Fair is the second organization that we have attend in January. Our companies closely examine the sectoral developments and also have chance to make new business cooperation through bilateral business negotiations to be organized.”
“STATE OF THE ART TECHNOLOGY PRODUCTS MADE A DEBUT IN THIS FAIR”
Mr. Cüneyt Şener stated that the construction sector creates demand for goods and services produced by more than 200 sub-sectors of its own and he also said “The construction sector is like a locomotive sector for our economy. With the government support, construction sector achieved growth of 18,7% in the third quarter of the last year. International fairs are very important for the sector providing employment opportunities for almost 2 million people. I believe that all our members will have new business contacts during Swissbau Fair in which the premium products of the sector are exhibited.”
“WE WISH TO SEE BURSA COMPANIES AS PARTICIPANTS”
Stating that Swissbau fair organized biennially and taking many sub-sectors in it is very important for the sector, Mr. Faruk Çolak; Member of The Assembly of BTSO and Head of the BTSO Fair Visitor Delegation for the Swissbau Fair said “Switzerland has an important position at the intersection of European countries. Big companies offer a wide variety of products to buyers. It is a tough market in which quality and details rise to prominence. We have a large number of companies in Bursa that produce products that will appeal to this market. With the contribution of BTSO, I believe that Bursa companies will be able to open their own stands in this fair in the coming years.”
KOSGEB subsidize BTSO members up to 3.000 Turkish Liras for close countries and up to 5.000 Turkish Liras for far countries within the scope of Global Fair Agency Project carried out by BTSO.
